Hello!
I am a counsellor with a level 5 diploma in psychotherapeutic counselling with professional experience working with people from 9 to 80 years of age. I have worked with a broad range of presenting issues and I am always keeping my knowledge relevant with ongoing CPD courses, regular supervision & peer support. Most importantly I am reactive and responsive to whatever my client is going through.
I have lived my forty years as a daughter, granddaughter, wife, mother, sister, auntie, friend and have experienced my share of highs and lows in life. By no means am I perfect, nor would I claim to have all the answers. I am here to support you, with my experience and professional knowledge, to gain insight into whatever issue you are facing without judgement and in complete confidence. I have a warm, friendly personality and like to bring humour into my therapy, when appropriate.
I am accredited with NCPS and adhere to their code of ethics and practice. I have a full and up to date DBS check and I am also fully insured.
I have a preteen son, two cats & Dora (the therapy dog). I enjoy a peaceful life and keep myself busy reading, walking the dog and I love to visit art galleries and museums.
I also work as a Welfare Benefits Advisor for Macmillan in Leicestershire & have formerly volunteered for the RNIB & children’s charity CASY in Newark.
